The following is a list of National Park Associations for your Paint The Parks donations. These organizations are are the non-profit partners of the government run national parks.  These charitable groups provide educational, interpretive and conservation oriented programs to protect the parks.

They are privately funded by businesses and people like us. In the context of PaintTheParks, your donations should go directly to one of these non-profit groups, or educational, preservation or art oriented programs which support the parks.

 

National Parks Conservation Association

The mission of the NPCA is to protect and enhance America’s National Parks for present and future generations. NPCA is a leading voice of the American people in protecting and enhancing the National Park System, the largest and most diverse park system in the world. It is an independent membership organization dedicated to protecting the park system. NPCA and its thousands of members and supporters are committed to preserving our nation’s natural, cultural, and historical heritage. “We believe that America’s national parks and historical sites embody the American spirit. They are windows to our past, homes to some of our rarest plants and animal species, and places where every American can go to find inspiration, peace, and open space.”

National Park Foundation

Chartered by the U.S. Congress in 1967 National Park Foundation, in partnership with the National Park Service, enriches America’s national parks and programs through private support and corporate sponsorsip, safeguarding our heritage and inspiring generations of national park enthusiasts. As charitable partner to the National Park Service, the National Park Foundation provides grants for park programs and projects.  NPC directly supports America’s over 400 national parks by pursuing three distinct, yet interdependent, areas of focus – conservation & preservation, education, and community engagement.

Acadia National Park, Maine

Friends of Acadia

Friends of Acadia preserves, protects, and promotes stewardship of the outstanding natural beauty, ecological vitality, and distinctive cultural resources of Acadia National Park and surrounding communities for the inspiration and enjoyment of current and future generations. Each year, Friends of Acadia works with Acadia National Park to identify places and projects where FOA’s effective mix of private philanthropy, volunteerism, innovative leadership, and strong partnerships will most benefit the park’s critical needs.

American Samoa National Park, American Samoa

Hawai’i Pacific Parks Association

HPPA is a nonprofit cooperating association working in partnership with the National Park Service in Hawaiʻi and American Samoa. Proceeds from our park stores support interpretation, educational programs, research projects, publications, and cultural activities. Our core purpose is to inspire visitors and foster meaningful connections to the parks—for the preservation and enjoyment of the parks forever—all with a spirit of aloha.

Badlands National Park, South Dakota

Badlands Natural History Association 

Founded in 1959, Badlands Natural History Association is a not-for-profit organization established to support education and research efforts at Badlands National Park. The profits from sales are donated to the park, and are used to print the park newspaper, fund a portion of the park’s intern program, purchase library books, improve and maintain photographic collections, and support the Artist In Residence program. Badlands

Big Bend National Park, Texas

Big Bend Natural History Association 

The (BBNHA) was established in 1956 as a private, non-profit organization. BBNHA champions the mission of the National Park Service of interpreting of the scenic, scientific, and historic values of Big Bend and encourages research related to those values. The Association conducts seminars and publishes, prints, or otherwise provides books, maps, and interpretive materials on the Big Bend region. Proceeds fund exhibits, films, interpretive programs, seminars, museum activities, and research.

Providing for Yosemite’s future is our passion. We inspire people to support projects and programs that preserve and protect Yosemite National Park’s resources and enrich the visitor experience. we provide grants to Yosemite National Park based on the highest-priority needs of the park. Donations fund the restoration of  trails, keep bears safe, estabilish life-changing youth programs and so much more.
