Golden poppies bloom,
Celebrate this moment’s birth.
Discovering this meadow ablaze with poppies was like striking gold. I saw the copper haze from Monastery Beach, and had to find a way to get there! Scrambling up rocks and finding fences, I realized I had to enter Point Lobos to be admitted to this Fairy Land. After an invigorating hike, my reward: fields of flaming gold. Point Lobos Poppies is my humble attempt to capture the grandeur of this essential California moment.
